Description

Craving the warm, spiced taste of apple pie in a fun, dippable form? This Apple Pie Dip paired with crispy cinnamon‑sugar chips is just the ticket!

Ingredients

Scale

For the Apple Dip:

  • 5 medium apples, peeled, cored, and cut into ¼″ pieces
  •  cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 Tbsp cornstarch

For the Chips:

  • 8 small (6″) flour tortillas
  •  cup granulated sugar
  •  tsp ground cinnamon
  • Nonstick spray or melted butter

Instructions

  1. Make the Dip:
    • In a bowl, toss apple cubes with both sugars, cinnamon, and lemon juice until evenly coated.
    • Transfer to a saucepan, add water, and bring to a boil. Cover, reduce to medium‑low, and simmer 10 minutes, until apples are soft.
    • Scoop out ½ cup of the cooking liquid and whisk in cornstarch to form a slurry.
    • Stir the slurry back into the apples and cook until the mixture thickens. Remove from heat and let cool slightly—or chill for a cold dip.
  2. Bake the Chips:
    • Preheat oven to 350°F. In a small bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon.
    • Lightly coat each tortilla with spray or butter, then dust both sides with the cinnamon‑sugar blend.
    • Cut tortillas into 8 wedges and arrange in a single layer on a baking sheet.
    • Bake 9–12 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy. Cool on wire racks.
