Indulge in the ultimate chocolate experience with this Oreo Cheesecake Chocolate Cake—two moist chocolate sponge layers sandwiching a no-bake Oreo‑studded cheesecake filling, all crowned with a silky milk‑chocolate ganache and festive garnishes.

Ingredients

Scale

Chocolate Cake

  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1¾ cups plain flour
  • ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1½ tsp baking powder
  • 1½ tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ½ cup neutral oil (vegetable or canola)
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup just‑boiled water

Oreo Cheesecake Filling (No‑Bake)

  • 1½ cups heavy cream, chilled
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ¾ cup icing sugar
  • 12 Oreo cookies, broken into large pieces

Milk Chocolate Ganache

  • 8 oz milk chocolate, finely chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream

Decoration

  • ½ cup mini chocolate chips
  • Dollops of whipped cream

Instructions

  1. Bake the Cake Layers
    • Heat oven to 350°F. Grease and line two 9″ round cake pans with parchment.
    • In a big bowl, whisk together sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
    • Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla. Beat on medium for 2 minutes until smooth.
    • Stir in hot water until batter is uniform.
    • Split batter between the pans and bake 30–35 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
    • Let cakes rest 10 minutes, then invert onto racks (flat‑side up) to cool completely.
  2. Prepare the Oreo Cheesecake Filling
    • Whip the cream to stiff peaks in a chilled bowl.
    • In another bowl, beat cream cheese and icing sugar until silky.
    • Fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture, then gently stir in the Oreo chunks.
  3. Make the Ganache
    • Warm the cream in a saucepan until it just simmers. Remove from heat, add chopped chocolate, and whisk until glossy.
    • If too loose, let sit a minute to thicken—still pourable enough to drip.
  4. Assemble the Cake
    • Place one cake layer on a serving plate. Evenly spread the Oreo cheesecake filling on top.
    • Gently position the second cake layer over the filling.
    • Pour the ganache over the top, allowing it to cascade down the sides.
  5. Garnish and Serve
    • Sprinkle mini chocolate chips around the top edge.
    • Pipe or spoon on whipped cream rosettes for a final flourish.
    • Slice and delight in every creamy, crunchy, chocolatey bite!
